In 2008, Ryan Dost and Adam McCauley launched their screen printing and embroidery business in a 400
square foot shop in Bay City, Michigan. While local schools were showing interest, making ends meet
was a struggle. Fast forward 10 years and Sandlot Sports now runs three locations, a production facility
in Saginaw, MI. and two retail satellite locations with a total of 24 employees. At the 18,000-square-foot
production facility, Sandlot Sports runs two manual presses, an automatic press, and 11 heads of
embroidery. The shop specializes in the team apparel and corporate sales markets. The business also
heat-prints apparel onsite at events around Michigan.
In 2017, Sandlot Sports was awarded the SBDC Small Business of the Year award for the Great Lakes Bay
Region and also won the Main St. USA Award for Small Business of the Year in Michigan. Ryan and Adam
are far from resting on their laurels. Right now, they’re expanding into more B2B sales and adding new
brands to their client list. They’re also upping their service for sports and team sales, working on being a
more efficient one-stop shop.
Our vision is to be an apparel decoration company that prides itself on personal and professional growth.
We will maintain high standards while adapting to industry changes. Our service will be exceptional from
